Claire Hoar-Stephens
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Claire Hoar-Stephens is an undergraduate student in Biomedical Science at the University of Ottawa, with a minor in Psychology. Her research experience includes systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and meta-analyses, with a focus on epidemiology and public health. She has contributed to research projects examining topics in nephrology, equity, diversity, and inclusion in healthcare, artificial intelligence in healthcare systems, and food and nutrition policies. Her research interests include public health, health policy, healthcare implementation, and the translation of evidence into practice. Claire is particularly interested in understanding how research can inform policies and programs that improve population health outcomes. Following completion of her undergraduate degree, she hopes to pursue graduate studies in public health or a related health sciences field.
